Palma

Last weekend I went to one of the prettiest citites in Spain, Palma de Mallorca. Palma has everything! I really want to move to Palma after my master degree. Straight after coming back from Palma, I have started to plan my new trip to Palma in August

Portixol is my favourite part of Palma. It is just a 25 minute walk from the city centre or a 10 minute bike ride. It is a wonderful place with a small local beach.  One day I want to settle down in Portixol. Imagine waking up to the sound of the waves and the smell of sea and take the bike into the centre to work <3 For me this is paradise.

This pool is from the restaurant terrace at the lovely Sweedish owned hotel Portixol where we spent our stay in Palma, situated in the heart of Portixol.

I have a lot of good memoires from the summers  I spent with my family at this hotel. It is really a paradise on earth. The hotel offers free bikes for the hotel guests so after some lazy days at the pool you can experience Palma by bike.

In July 2007 Rialto Living opened it doors for the first time and now converted into a lifestyle store. Approximately 800 square metres full of fashion, furniture, books, gifts, accessories, art and a Café in Carrer Sant Feliu 3c, Palma de Mallorca. The founder is Klas Kall, one of the founder and designers of the GANT brand.



 

Sevilla

I am a bit late with publishing the photos from my trip with my family to Sevilla in Semana Santa , Easter, but here are some photos from one of the most beautiful cities in Spain.







 



Madrid Río

Madrid’s new promenade area Madrid Río a new park with 1 210 881 m2 in the city centre, by the new gardens of the Manzanares River is a must to visit.  The new park consists of 10 km of pedestrian and cycling routes. An useful guide to the park is available in both English and Spanish.

La pena de ser ciego en Granada

Granada is the most beautiful city in the world, and I went back there with my best friend Kristine this weekend. I want to share with you the beauty of Granada with some of the photos I took this weekend.

 



The best icre cream shop in the world. Home made Italian ice cream. Kristine`s favourite is Pistacho and mine is Chocolate. Los Italianos is in Gran Via de Colòn 4.



A well kept secret place in Granada is to visit  the terrace at Hotel Alhambra Palace. Enjoy  something cold to drink while you admire the 180 degrees view of Granada. It is an amazing place and few people are aware of this terrace. I love to start the walk from Plaza Campo del Principe and walk up the small streets.





Small street with views of Sierra Nevada with its snow on the way up to the Hotel Alhambra Palace. It is amazing how you can watch the mountains and the snow while you are walking in Granada in 32 degrees.

Harvest




I love to sit down at the beautiful terrace at Restaurant Harvest, Castellana with Juan Bravo, on my way home from work. It is a perfect place to have something to drink in the sun. Lovin it!

 

Club Museé

Saturday night I went with Maria, Ana and Patri to this really cool club in Madrid, Museé, a blend of nightclub and art gallery and one of the hippest places in Madrid at the moment.
The music is really great and the DJ fantastic. This was for me a new discovery. Thank you Patri. The street Alberto Alcocer, where you Museé, has a really good selection of  bars and clubs.

Alpedrete

I spent Friday and Saturday in the mountains of Madrid, La Sierra, in my boyfriend's village Alpedrete.

Alpedrete is just 40 minutes with car from the city center. We went there after work Friday and spent the afternoon walking around in the village with 22 degrees and sun. I want to share some pictures from this lovely village with you. The pictures are taken outside Julio's house and his urbanizacion. In June they open the swimming pool and then it can't get any better :)

Italian dinner, Navacerrada

Friday night I went to the mountains of Madrid to have dinner at this fabulous Italian restaurant at the plaza in Navacerrada. Acording to people from la sierra, this place is always crowded so make a reservation in time. I can really recommend the Parmesan gratinated eggplants with tomato sauce.
